Herbal tea for gut support
If you suspect you have inflammation in your gut, this gentle herbal tea is for you.
Calendula and plantain are both vulnerary herbs, meaning they are useful in the healing of wounds. They both have anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, and can be used externally as well as internally.
Lemon balm is soothing to the nervous system and can also help support digestion, especially when there is stress or nervousness involved. Marshmallow root is demulcent- this means that it is moistening and helps coat your gastrointestinal tract.
Organic calendula, organic plantain, organic lemon balm, marshmallow root
*Calendula has been used as an emmenagogue, meaning it can encourage menstruation. Do not use if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
Fill tea infuser with 1 Tbsp of tea, place in mug. Pour 8oz of hot water over tea and let steep for 10-12 minutes, or until desired strength is reached.
